We invite experienced and motivated professionals to join the Office of Development and Facilities Management (ODFM), which oversees the planning, development, operation and maintenance of the University’s buildings and infrastructure.
As Assistant Director, ACMV, you will lead the ACMV section in managing campus air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation operations, maintenance contracts, asset renewal and infrastructure upgrading works. You will play a key role in ensuring ACMV services remain safe, reliable, efficient and aligned with the University’s operational and sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
Lead the ACMV Section in overseeing campus-wide ACMV operations, preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe, reliable and efficient service delivery.
Manage ACMV maintenance contracts, contractor performance, service standards, contract governance and operational compliance.
Oversee ACMV fault management, operational risks, service disruptions and recovery actions to minimise impact on campus operations.
Lead ACMV asset renewal, replacement and infrastructure upgrading works, including the review of technical proposals, engineering submissions and implementation strategies.
Drive continuous improvements in system reliability, maintainability, operational resilience and energy performance.
Lead, mentor and develop the ACMV team by providing technical guidance, setting priorities and overseeing operational, maintenance and project delivery.
Build strong partnerships with internal users, consultants, contractors and senior management while promoting workplace safety, regulatory compliance and engineering best practices.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in ACMV or mechanical building services covering operations, maintenance, contract administration and project delivery.
Strong knowledge of ACMV systems, asset lifecycle management, contract administration, local engineering codes and operational risk management.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to lead teams, manage contractors and engage a broad range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound engineering decisions and lead operations within a live campus environment.
