Job Overview

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team at our Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN! This is a .8 FTE (64 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work the following schedule:

 

Week 1: Wednesday/Thursday 6:30PM - 6:30AM, Friday 7PM - 3AM

Week 2: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 11PM - 7AM

 

Off‑Hours Financial Incentive

Due to the off‑hours schedule of this role, Fairview is proud to offer enhanced pay incentives in addition to the employee’s base hourly rate.

 

This position includes:

  • Night Shift Differential: $3.00 per hour
  • Night Adder Pay Augmentation: $8.00 per hour

Total Additional Compensation: $11.00 per hour on top of the base rate for most hours worked

This enhanced pay structure recognizes the essential coverage provided during off‑hours and reflects Fairview’s ongoing commitment to valuing and supporting our team members who deliver critical care when it matters most.

 

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience.

 

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
  • Performs high quality examinations
  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately
  • Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
  • Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
  • Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
  • Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures
  • Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes


Required Qualifications

  • ARRT Radiology Tech Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year or more years of experience in a related role
  • Previous ambulatory care experience preferred.
  • Additional certifications in Imaging
  • ARRT CT certification or successful completion within 18 months within 1-1/2 Yrs

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
