Float Mammography Technologist Trainee

Training Location: Alamo Heights, TX
Post Training Coverage: Float coverage between San Antonio and Austin
Work Hours: Full-time
Position Highlights:
- Paid training in mammography with industry leader in women’s healthcare
- Train with preceptor at our Louetta and Tomball centers
- Assist with coverage at our Houston area centers post registry
Here is what you will need:
- Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;
- An interest in training in mammography as an advanced modality
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist Trainee:
- Trains with their preceptor to consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
- Learns to prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
- Learns to produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate.
- Develops the ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
- Maintains patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills
