We’re looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to bring their expertise to one of Vancouver’s most exciting developments. This role will play a key role in excavation work on any of our large development projects in either Tsawassen, South Cambie, or Pitt Meadows. If you thrive in fast-paced construction environments, are self-motivated, can differentiate between soil types, and have previous experience operating a variety of equipment, including Excavators, Bulldozers, and Compactors, this role could be for you!

What You Will Do:
Operate excavators to strip material from native ground, stockpile efficiently and with proper slopes, excavate ditches, load material into haul trucks, receive material from haul trucks and place for compaction
Operate bulldozers to efficiently grade soil material in appropriate lift thicknesses
Operate vibratory drum compaction equipment to compact as per the Geotechnical Engineer's recommendations
Operate machinery within close vicinity of existing utilities
Safely operate Street Sweeper to efficiently remove soil and rocks from municipal roads
Clean and lubricate equipment, refill tanks, and conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
Operate 2-way radio devices and other communication equipment
Occasional physical and non-physical labour associated with the jobsite
What you bring:
Grade 12 Education
At least 3 years of experience in the civil construction industry operating heavy equipment
Valid BC driver’s license
Possess knowledge of site grading concepts
Possess the ability to differentiate between different soil types
Self-motivated and the ability to plan ahead
Salary Range:
$38-50
