Job Description
As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing of direct and indirect goods and services for ASP APAC sites.
You will be responsible for key supplier management for your assigned categories, including cost savings, contract management, and strategy execution.
The position is based in Tokyo, Japan and reports to the APAC Sourcing Manager. The position also collaborates with the Global Sourcing Team in other regions, such as the US and EMEA.
Responsibilities:
- Manage direct & indirect sourcing categories primarily working with Japanese suppliers, and other suppliers in APAC countries. Categories you may be assigned to:
- Direct Sourcing: Medical Devices Hardware, Consumables
- Indirect Sourcing: Fleet, Travel, Real Estate, Services, IT, HR, Marketing
- Work together with internal/external stakeholders such as Quality, Planning, Logistics, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, and Suppliers to manage the current supply, supporting new business requirements, and identifying cost saving opportunities.
- Support negotiations, and contracting efforts with major accounts in strategic procurement
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Sourcing or Procurement.
- Communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level, as this role will be the key interface with supplier executives.
- Analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary global teams.
- Negotiation and contract management experience.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- Japanese: Native, English: Business level
- SAP using experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
