What you’ll do:
We are seeking a dedicated Application Engineer for Southeast Asia to support the growth of our B-Line business, with a strong focus on data center projects and Oil and Gas project. This role provides technical support, project engineering coordination, and solution development across the full project lifecycle, working closely with customers, sales teams, engineering, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support for B-Line support products, including cable tray, wire basket, seismic bracing, and related solutions.
• Leverage engineering and operations expertise to coordinate activities throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-sales support through post-order documentation.
• Own and manage technical support queues, including Tolbrace and general technical support requests.
• Perform project design and engineering tasks, including material and engineering services take-offs, quotations, structural, mechanical, seismic, wind, and sea transportation calculations.
• Support finite element analysis, scope document development, drawing layouts, submittal creation, release schedules, and value engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with customers and outside sales teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions that meet project requirements and business objectives.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve potential or actual project issues, providing alternative technical solutions where required.
• Conduct customer and site visits as needed to perform installation inspections, provide technical guidance, and support issue resolution.
• Act as the primary point of contact for technical support matters and project status updates.
• Support new product development activities and perform other duties as required to meet business needs
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in application engineering, technical support, project engineering, construction products, electrical infrastructure, or mechanical support systems.
• Knowledge of cable management systems, structural support products, seismic bracing, or data center infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, project documentation, and engineering requirements.
• Experience with engineering calculations, take-offs, quotations, submittals, and project documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to propose practical and commercially viable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, sales teams, engineering, operations, and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia for customer meetings, project support, and site inspections when required.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support projects under tight timelines.
• Collaborative working style with confidence in cross-functional coordination.
• Commercial awareness and ability to balance technical requirements with cost-effective solutions.
