Volunteer Coordinator
Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for the coordination of onboarding and processing for prospective volunteers, to include but not limited to incoming calls and scheduling of prospective interviews, database maintenance, initiate and follow up with security and health services clearances and onboarding coordination . The Volunteer Coordinator will support the vision of the programing in recruiting, orientation and recognition of volunteer in their roles at Baystate Wing Hospital. The individual will support the development of programs and volunteer support options that provide meaningful experiences for our volunteer community and support our mission of quality care for our patients and visitors.
Job Responsibilities:
1) Serves as front line representative for Volunteer activities including screening calls, scheduling interviews, greeting visitors and resolving basic volunteer issues.
2) Responsible for managing and troubleshooting VSys database to ensure integrity of data. Completes a variety of complex analysis, reports, spreadsheets and other documents.
3) Maintains departmental and volunteer supplies for daily operations
4) Provides information and answers inquiries concerning general onboarding activities and operations in accordance with department and hospital procedures
5) Insures completion of volunteer clearance process after selection by manager. Includes background checks, health service clearance, arranging volunteer and department specific orientations. Maintains open files of volunteer applicants. Collaborates with Security to obtain volunteer badges and disperses appropriate volunteer uniforms. Escorts new volunteers to assignments as needed
6) Provides communication and information to volunteer groups
7) Schedules meetings, conferences room, catering including needed equipment in accordance with departmental procedures. Maintains business calendar for Volunteer programs
8) Assists with organizing and facilitating events including annual Volunteer Recognition events

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$56,430.00 - $64,875.00 - $76,710.00
