Your role

 

An In-Store Retail Expert plays a critical role in strengthening store capabilities, team and individual productivity, and driving a client-centric mindset You will work closely with the Head of Field to execute training plans to improve customer experience and elevate sales performance through structured training and coaching in the field.

 

 

Responsibilities

Training & Capability Development

  • Conduct onboarding and training for new staff to ensure understanding of brand values, SOPs, KPIs and sales expectations
  • Deliver product and optical knowledge training to build confidence and improve conversion and average transaction value
  • Facilitate customer journey training to ensure consistent delivery of the Spectacle Hut experience

In-Store Coaching & Performance Improvement

  • Provide on-the-job coaching, live demonstrations, and constructive feedback on the sales floor
  • Observe and evaluate individual performance to identify gaps and areas for improvement
  • Track learning progress and measure improvement in performance outcomes

Business & Store Support

  • Partner closely with the field team to identify performance gaps and address training needs to improve store results
  • Support new store openings and key store initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Eyecare team to deliver training workshops for new initiatives

Culture & Engagement

  • Promote a strong learning culture across stores
  • Build confident, capable, and high-performing store teams

 

Job requirement

  • Registered Eye Care Practitioner (OOB license)
  • Strong sales, customer service, and retail operations knowledge
  • Good optical product and clinical knowledge
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Able to conduct training (1-to-1, group, and live demonstrations)
  • Good coaching skills with ability to give constructive feedback
  • Observant and able to identify performance gaps
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to solve problems independently
  • Good planning and time management skills
  • Passionate about retail, training, and customer experience
