Position Summary
The HRIS Specialist is responsible for the implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) supporting 1,500+ employees across two organizations. This role ensures data integrity, enhances system functionality, and serves as a key liaison between HR, IT, and external vendors.
Essential Responsibilities

Collect and analyze HR data to support strategic decision-making and process improvements.

Evaluate, configure, and test HRIS enhancements and updates, including leading user acceptance testing (UAT).

Recommend and implement workflow improvements to increase HR departmental efficiency; create and update process flow documentation.

Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.

Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Manage user accounts, permissions, security settings, and system configurations.

Serve as the primary liaison between HR, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design, implementation, and maintenance.

Partner with IT on projects requiring HR system expertise and security administration.

Develop, generate, and maintain system dashboards, queries, and ad-hoc reports.

Stay informed of HRIS and HR technology trends, tools, and best practices.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Associates degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, information Systems or a related field of study. Minimum two years HRIS experience preferably in a Human Resources setting. Experience in generating queries and ad hoc reports, creating interface files and data feeds. Good interpersonal skills. Organizational skills and ability to prioritize essential.
