The Regional Security Manager (RSM) is the face of the Security Team, leading and implementing safety and security plans through building close relationships with Calvary Chapel and Calvary Christian Academy teams. The RSM serves and supports church and school teams, volunteer gatekeepers, and off-duty police officers (detail). They will equip and empower these groups to navigate emergency situations through setting expectations, written plans, and training. Furthermore, the RSM will monitor the surrounding communities where Calvary and Academy properties are located for threats, crime trends, and other related risks.

You will:
-
Be involved in forming and drafting a global Emergency Management Plan (EMP) for the entire organization that provides general guidelines and operating procedures for staff in emergency situations

Be involved in forming and drafting a global volunteer Gatekeeper plan for the entire organization that defines guidelines and sets expectations for all of our volunteer Gatekeepers

Implement the global EMP and Gatekeeper plans across each church and school location, accounting for unique factors such as outdoor meeting areas, weather shelter spaces, and other campus-specific considerations.

Train staff members and volunteers using presentation, written, and/or other digital methods of instruction

Set expectations with church campus, school leadership, and off-duty officers (detail)

Continue to improve and update plans, implement changes and train the different teams when necessary

Serve as the primary point of contact for crisis and security-related requests from church and school teams, assessing situations and developing appropriate responses with minimal direction from the Director of Security

Work closely with various internal teams and external vendors to assure timely resolution of security and safety-related issues

Assist the Director of Security with budget development

Develop local networks and build relationships with local Law Enforcement and other First Responder agencies within applicable jurisdictions

Collaborate with the Director of Security and other internal teams to manage and improve current incident reporting processes
-
Work with the Director of Security to make sure church and school locations are staffed appropriately with off-duty officers (detail) and Security team members, when applicable
-
Maintain a flexible schedule, occasionally working remotely or from other church or school locations, and remain responsive to calls or messages outside of regular working hours
-
Be responsible for understanding and staying current on all safety procedures for Calvary Chapel Church and Calvary Christian Academy

Adhere to all organizational processes and policies

Assist and support the Security team in other ways as assigned by the Director of Security
You have:

Basic project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
-
The ability to work independently with minimal guidance from the Director of Security
-
The gift of identifying improvement opportunities in systems and processes, and have the ability to implement changes that can bring greater efficiency and margins to the team and organization

Previous experience in handling very personal and/or confidential information with a high degree of integrity and discretion

Skills in:
-
Operating a computer and various software, with emphasized competency in Google Suites and Microsoft tools and packages
-
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with an emphasis on the ability to compile and present information in an impactful way to both small and large groups
-
Anticipating potential challenges to the team, problem identification and problem solving
-
Valid Florida Class “D” and “G” Security Officer Licenses (with renewals)
-
Firearm license and documented training. Successful completion of a forensic psychological assessment.

A Valid Driver License

This is a full-time (40+ hours/week) salary exempt position which may include nights and weekends.

You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.
