Job Description
The National Air Space Integration Support Contract IV (NISC IV) program at Leidos is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the FAA customer. The position specifically supports the DCS Battery Program within the Power Services Group (PSG). The PSG provides support for critical power infrastructure for the FAA.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintaining a project portfolio and lifecycle replacement planning for DC Systems Battery projects
- Provide budgetary planning with the project portfolio
- Develop and review Requests for Proposal (RFQ)
- Initiating, reviewing, and tracking Operational Risk Management (ORM) activities
- Participating in weekly and monthly telecoms
- Creating and maintaining project schedules/budgets
- Maintain a good working relationship with FAA
- Coordinate with facility managers, tech ops, and air traffic managers
- Provide guidance and oversight to subcontractors
- Review Site Survey Reports
- Review all stages of the drawing submissions
- Evaluate battery sizing for induvial sites
Basic Qualifications
- BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or similar.
- BS and 4+ years experience in backup power systems design, review, installs and project management, or a Masters' Degree and 2+ years of similar experience.
- Additional years of related work experience can be substituted for a degree at the hiring manager's discretion.
- Ability to support customer and engineers in designs, reviews, red-lines/changes, processes, cost determinations, schedules and technical impacts of changes
- Ability to ensure designs or changes are in compliance with applicable government and industry standards.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Ability to represent customer in meetings and other activities dealing with both inside and outside of the department.
- Ability to work well with engineering and management staffs including external organizations to ensure timely follow up and on-time project completion.
- Working knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications to include: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Power Point.

- Experience with the National Airspace System (NAS)
- FAA Corporate Work Plan (CWP)
- Experience in Operational Risk Management
- Advanced Excel knowledge and skills
- Strong communication skills

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
