The Job:
This position will be a key member of the Tools & Outdoor global team. This is an opportunity to work globally across the Tools & Outdoor business as well as across the corporate finance pillars. You’ll get to:
People & Business Partnering
Partner with the T&O business and Corporate Accounting on various accounting matters.
Oversee global accounting for Fixed Assets and Global Supply Chain Processes Accounting.
Provide leadership and direction to the various controllership teams in Global T&O for assigned areas on behalf of Business Unit Controller and Assistant Business Unit Controller.
Provide guidance and support to various functional constituencies on all aspects of fixed asset policies and procedures. Provide training to controllers, engineering, sourcing analysts, and finance on best practices relating to Fixed Assets.
Enforce SBD and T&O policies relating to fixed asset additions, dispositions, and transfers, for the T&O business
Ensure compliance with GAAP for Fixed assets by providing guidance to various stakeholders.
Ensure compliance in accounting for computer software to be capitalized. Provide guidance to stakeholders.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of Fixed Asset Requisitions.
Prepare and submit CIP aging analytics and presentations for monthly Fixed Asset report.
Coordinate the scheduling of Fixed Asset Physical Inventories for T&O; Compile Fixed Asset Physical Inventory results and report monthly as part of month end close process.
Coordinate Fixed Asset cycle counts on a periodic basis for T&O HQ entities.
Perform in-depth analysis of CIP balances for T&O and reduce the average CIP aging.
Monitor all Idle Asset memos and CIP reconciliation forms; identify aged CIP and work to get capitalized.
The Person:

- BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP. CPA is a plus.
- English proficiency (If nor English native, C1-C2 preferred)
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in auditing, accounting, controllership and/or other financial roles.
- Experience in U.S. multi-national public company; working knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel - ability to handle large files with pivot tables, vlookup, sumif, etc.
- Experience with data analytics software such as SAP (Use of table data exploration, troubleshooting, and reporting is a plus), Hyperion HFM, Alteryx, etc. is a plus.
