Job Description
Our department is responsible for ensuring that Desjardins has modern, secure and accessible analysis platforms. These platforms help Desjardins be more agile in achieving its business objectives for its members and clients. We’re actively involved in running the SAS Grid platforms and updating our analytical environments, including the migration to SAS Viya. As a data valorization analyst, you play a key role in leveraging and enhancing data from different ecosystems. You help create meaning by extracting, analyzing and interpreting data to help you make informed decisions. You’re known for your proactivity, critical thinking and ability to influence, and you go beyond simply producing deliverables. You actively contribute to updating data and analytics practices, tools and uses. You work with multiple collaborators to understand their challenges, explain results and guide decisions. More specifically, you will be required to :
- Work closely with business sectors to understand their needs, translate them into the SAS platform and optimize their access to data and analytical operations.
- Explore and use SAS metadata to support data governance activities, which include formulating hypotheses, carrying out diagnostic analyses and making informed recommendations.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills by exploring hypotheses and ensuring thorough analyses.
- Leverage data by designing effective dashboards and visualization tools (Power BI and Excel) to facilitate decision-making.
- Provide analytical leadership by fully leveraging inputs from SAS development teams (metadata) to extract high-value insights.
- Act as a catalyst for data valorization by transforming raw data into actionable information and guiding business decisions.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (statistics, IT, business intelligence, etc.)
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience in data analysis and visualization
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Proficiency in SQL
- Knowledge of Power BI (including DAX and Power Query) and data visualization
- Knowledge of SAS platforms (SAS Grid, SAS Viya, metadata) in an analytical operating context
