Your opportunity
You will be responsible for a variety of state and local tax related projects and other support services to the Tax team. You will have effective research, documentation, and communication skills. You will often work with functions outside of tax to obtain pertinent information.
You will:
- Prepare/review complex state income and franchise tax returns for partnership and corporate entities, including extensions and estimated payments.
- Prepare supporting workpapers for state tax returns, including state tax adjustments, apportionment workpapers, and related research.
- Manage sales and use tax compliance including preparing use tax calculations and tax returns.
- Prepare/review miscellaneous tax filings: annual reports, business registrations, gross receipts tax returns, property tax returns, etc.
- Maintain multi-tax filing calendar and tax provision calendars and monitor deliverables and due dates.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly FIN 48 calculations and documentation, and other state provisions items.
- Assist with state tax rate calculation and ASC 740 memoranda.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions including consolidated SEC public company requirements and local statutory requirements.
- Assist with tax notices and audits.
- Assist with special tax projects as needed.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Must have skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate tax required.
- Detail oriented and highly analytical.
- Strong understanding of state tax concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent research and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and SAP.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax required.
Nice to have skills
- CPA preferred
- Master’s degree in Taxation preferred
- Proficiency in Corptax a plus

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $115,000-$145,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This position will be open through June 30, 2026.
