GNC Engineer — Multicopter & eVTOL Drones (f/m/d)
Job Description
TYTAN Technologies
At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect European sovereignty.
We are looking for a Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer to help design, implement, and validate GNC systems for small multicopter and eVTOL drones. The ideal candidate bridges control theory with hands-on software engineering and thrives in a fast-moving, multidisciplinary environment. You will work close to the aircraft, contributing to GNC systems from simulation through to flight.
Your roadmap to make an impact
Contribute to the GNC lifecycle for small multicopter and eVTOL platforms (<10 kg), from concept through to operational flight, including hybrid/transition flight where applicable
Help develop and validate flight dynamics models and control laws, and support their integration into the embedded flight software stack
Contribute to autonomous behavior by implementing and refining flight modes, transitions, and failure handling
Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and hands-on flight test campaigns, including data acquisition, analysis, and iterative tuning
Collaborate closely with systems, airframe, avionics, and software teams to ensure GNC interfaces are well-defined and integration-ready
Help maintain clear documentation of assumptions, architectures, and validation results
