As part of the Facilities team, the Maintenance Planner develops and manages comprehensive maintenance plans for building infrastructure and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. This role creates and maintains preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, prepares work orders in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and coordinates closely with internal stakeholders to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
The Maintenance Planner works collaboratively in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift based on operational needs and emergencies. While maintenance planning is the primary focus, the role may support other facilities activities and cross-functional projects as needed to keep the campus safe, secure, and operational.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify potential maintenance issues and develop preventive maintenance plans to address them.
- Compile and analyze maintenance data and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for all building infrastructure components and equipment.
- Create and manage work orders that comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while maximizing the use of internal resources.
- Work with internal stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, maintenance technicians, and department heads, to develop the scope of maintenance requirements and ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
- Monitor the progress of maintenance projects and ensure they are completed on time and within scope.
- Maintain accurate records of all planned maintenance activities.
- Audit existing maintenance records for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
- Stay current on industry best practices and new technologies related to building and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Support other facilities trades and assist with general facilities maintenance tasks during peak workload periods, staff absences, or urgent facility needs.
- Participate in campus-wide and cross-functional facilities projects as required.
- Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company, and work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
