Job Description
As a US Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance for our clients. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, advising on tax strategies, and staying updated with the latest US tax regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file US individual and corporate tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1099) accurately and within deadlines.
- Research and stay updated on US tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize deductions.
- Review and analyze financial data, identifying potential tax savings opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and quality standards for tax preparation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for tax reporting.
- Provide tax-related support during audits and respond to client inquiries promptly.
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in tax practice.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in US taxation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in US tax preparation for individuals and corporations.
- Strong knowledge of US tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with tax preparation software and tools (e.g., TaxAct, TurboTax, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in tax calculations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
