We are looking for a
Sr. Manager Analytical & Testing
What You Will Do
- Delivering integrated analytical expertise strategy, on site / business level and integrated departmental plans and operational realization for all CFT R & D projects, products and catalyst markets. Providing new analytical & testing methods for CFT and possibly support for other divisions.
- Development of strategy for optimizing capacity (short term) and capabilities (long term) for bench scale testing. Providing timely and reliable performance testing information from benchscale/pilot units. Constantly improving the analytical methods and the effectiveness of the department.
- Managing the R&T Operations (Services) team that takes care of administrative support, coordination with the maintenance department and HSE support for the R&T group in Amsterdam.
What You Bring
Required:
- Academic level of working and thinking at PhD level, with a minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in an analytical and / or research environment.
- Overview of Analytical, Testing and Data Science techniques with a focus on application in the analysis and development of heterogeneous catalysts and oil analysis.
- Overview of Ref Sol products, production processes, markets, and R & T projects with a focus on CFT.
Preferred:
- Strategic insight: know how to use information sources and to value information on the basis of which to draw up lines
- Innovative capacity: bringing together information from the entire CFT Research and Technology, translating it into strategic opportunities and challenges, and drawing up plans to transform these into an operational plan, in order to contribute to the innovative power of the CFT-R&T group.
- Advisory skills: to be able to convey a (long-term) vision about complex matter and from a non-hierarchical position at strategic level.
- Communication skills and contact properties in order to maintain inter alia internal and external networks and contacts in a complex environment.
- Managerial skills in managing employees also from a non-hierarchical position
- Project management skills to formulate objectives and to be able to guide them in the implementation on time, personnel and financial resources and effectiveness of the (sub) activities
- To be able to retain personal independence on the basis of professional expertise in order to be able to operate effectively in situations with conflicts of interest
- Presentation techniques to transfer approach and findings to clients and colleagues at all levels within and outside the organization.
