Reporting to the Manager – Planning and Talent Attraction, the Early Career Program Specialist is responsible for executing and continuously improving early-career talent programs across the organization, including internships, student jobs, and development pathways for early-career salaried employees.

 

Your mandate will be to lead, promote, and coordinate Agropur’s Canadian and U.S. internship program, which hosts nearly 100 interns each year. You will be responsible for managing the recruitment process in collaboration with Agropur’s internal stakeholders, academic institutions, as well as prospective students and future interns, while ensuring established deadlines are met.

  • Salary scale 004: $73 000 to $91 200 (Base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)

 

Your role in achieving results:


  • Lead the planning and execution of early career talent programs, including internships, student employment, and development programs for young professionals.
  • Manage high-volume, end-to-end recruitment processes for interns and student employees.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to align and deploy hiring strategies for early career salaried roles.
  • Partner with managers and HR teams to provide insights on candidate pool quality, hiring trends, and program outcomes to inform recruitment decisions.
  • Oversee the full management of programs, including recruitment timelines, onboarding, orientation activities, and engagement strategies to ensure a consistent experience for participants and managers.
  • Develop and implement a targeted university relations strategy, including school segmentation, activity planning, and ROI evaluation to improve candidate quality and conversion rates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with targeted universities, student associations, and career centers.
  • Optimize campus recruitment infrastructure, including calendars, tools, promotional materials, and engagement tracking.
  • Manage program tracking tools and processes, including metrics related to hiring, participation, performance, and conversion (e.g., intern conversion rate, cost per hire).
  • Analyze program data and hiring outcomes to generate insights and support continuous improvement of early career initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and new approaches to optimize program effectiveness, candidate experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present analyses, metrics, and recommendations during leadership reviews.

 

What we are looking for to deliver these results:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Marketing, Communications, or any other relevant field;
  • Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written, essential to communicate with our partners across Canada and the United States;
  • Well-organized, effectively manages time and handles multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Strong knowledge of ATS tools is essential to manage candidate pools, track progress, and ensure compliance;
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other domain-specific software;
  • Ability to make decisions within tight deadlines, sometimes with incomplete information and under pressure;
  • Results-driven and performance-oriented, strives to exceed objectives and motivate oneself and others to achieve positive outcomes.
