Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Production Manager        Location: Lemon Creek, Juneau, Alaska Pay: starts $24 - $28, DOE      Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:35am - 5:20pm Perks: Paid Time Off, Free Product, 4-day work week   Specific Duties Supervision of Crew Oversee and cultivate a safe, productive, and supportive work environment Train crew members in production procedures Observe and evaluate crew members and work procedures to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met   Provide praise and constructive feedback for crew members, redirecting as needed Communicate clearly so that all expectations are shared and understood Solicit and respond to feedback from crew members   Production Management Help lead Production of products (depending on business need and candidate aptitude) Learn every day. We are a small and growing team, and how we operate changes frequently Oversee production of Barnacle’s products, ensuring adherence to Barnacle’s procedures and process controls Ensure that production processes are executed accurately, exercising attention to detail and time management skills   Recommend measures for improving work procedures and crew performance to increase quality, efficiency, and job satisfaction   General Duties: Get stuff done Clean and sanitize the processing area, dishes, and equipment Carefully weigh, record, and assemble products following detailed procedures Complete other duties as assigned Package products for shipping following different protocols for wholesale and online orders   The ideal candidate is: Inspired by Barnacle’s mission and excited to be part of a can-do team A highly motivated, self-starter that is able to work in a fast-paced environment A quick learner with the ability to pay close attention to detail A natural leader with the ability to motivate others Familiar with food safety protocols and knows their way around a kitchen   Requirements: Maintain and enforce a strict level of personal and workplace hygiene Comply with food safety protocols for food processors Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on feet all-day Valid drivers license (preferred)   Physical demands and work environment: The physical and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions and other elements prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is high at times.
