Position Summary:

The Warehouse Crew Lead is to ensure outbound and inbound shipments are accurate and free from damage, including inventory. The Warehouse Crew Lead ensures the team performs responsibilities set forth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment through facility and personnel audits and enforcing safety guidelines
  • Assign daily tasks warehouse department employees.
  • Implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations and ensuring that all employees are trained and follow these procedures.
  • Monitor code dates of orders picked for outbound shipments ensuring OAD is used.
  • Receive all the drivers coming into the facility and provide directions as to where they will be going next after checking in. Proper paperwork/system logs must be filled out upon arrival.
  • Ensure outbound & inbound shipments are accurate and free from damage. Process all paperwork and systems documentation. (BOLs, loading/order documents, driver logs).
  • Daily operations must remain within the guidelines of GMP and QA standards for Food Safety.
  • Fill in for supervision as needed. While this is a 1st shift position, must be flexible with schedule; covering either 2nd or 3rd shifts as necessary.
  • Must perform all functions on the floor as needed to help the department if short-staffed.
  • Maintain non-inventory items to ensure no disruption to operations takes place. (EX: Cheps, whiteboards, gloves, copy paper, etc.)
  • Other reports as needed.
  • Complete necessary forklift maintenance reporting and associated records to ensure maximum forklift performance and overall facility safety.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Ability to legally work in the United States is required. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Capable of communicating both orally and in writing with people at all organizational levels.
  • Capable of managing a variety of tasks simultaneously with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in the related field.
  • Strong forklift skills with an emphasis on safety.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office system and computer programs. ERP experience a plus.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in temperatures of 34 degrees or less.
  • Must be able to stand for more than 10 hours per day.
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime when needed.
  • Distribution center environment with frequent standing for extended periods of time; walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 100 pounds unassisted; bending, crouching, stooping, reaching, and climbing stairs and ladders; work area may be slippery and may have uneven surfaces, some above-ground level elevated surfaces.
  • Varied temperature environment (hot/cold/humid).
  • Must be flexible and able to work as needed.

 

 

Pay range for this position is $20.00 to $24.00 an hour depending on experience.
