UW Medical Center – Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Custodian.
WORK SCHEDULE
- 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
- 7:00am - 3:30pm - Rotating every other weekend
- Day Shift
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
The Custodian performs daily cleaning of all patient and non-patient areas, handles waste, and maintains a sanitary, orderly, and attractive environment.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs general facility cleaning and maintenance of both patient rooms and non-patient areas
- Makes beds and performs check-out cleaning
- Cleans and disinfects restrooms and fixtures
- Dust mops, wet mops, and vacuums floors, dusts and spot cleans/disinfects furniture and horizontal surfaces
- Empties wastebaskets and trash containers, removes trash and disinfects wastebaskets
- Consistently follows hospital and departmental safety procedures; reads and follows all instructions regarding use and preparation of chemicals
- Assists in cleaning of emergency spills as directed by NSO or supervisor
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Physical ability to do required work
