Compensation: £33,140 - £35,883 / year

Description

Permanent contract, 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year - term time only.  These hours will include evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

Salary is full time equivalent.

Your key responsibilities:


The Salon Manager will:

  • Oversee all operational aspects of the Hair & Beauty Academy, including client bookings, staffing of commercial sessions, stock control, and maintenance of equipment and resources.
  • Work closely with curriculum staff to ensure the Academy supports high‑quality teaching, learning, assessment, and the delivery of realistic industry practice.
  • Provide line management, supervision, and guidance to technicians, reception staff, and students working within the Academy environment.
  • Lead on health, safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards within the commercial salons, ensuring full compliance with college policies and industry regulations.

What you bring:

You will thrive in this role if you enjoy a fast-paced environment where each day is different from the last. You should bring: 

  • Management experience in a busy salon or similar environment. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide others. 
  • Exceptional communication, organisation, and IT skills. 
  • Confidence working independently while also contributing to a team 
  • A Level 3 qualification in Beauty and/or Hair, plus managerial experience, or qualifications
