Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Associate Estimator for its PCI LYMO 585 operations based in Londonderry, NH. This individual will perform estimating duties for PCI's various scopes of work.
Job responsibilities include:
Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects
Establish labor productivities for estimate
Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing
Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-performing group
Understand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work, and other factors for establishing margin percentages
Involvement in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams
Participate in customer alignment objectives by creating and maintaining positive customer relations
Contract administration for secured projects
Utilize wage and benefit schedules
Hand off secured projects to the Operations team
Assist in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s)
Support other members of the Estimating team for product line collaboration
Salary range: $80,000-$106,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program. This position is safety sensitive.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, a similar discipline, or comparable relevant work experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word) and Bluebeam Revu
Possess working knowledge of estimating techniques and computer takeoff software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain integrity in decision-making
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Willingness to continue learning new technical skills and developing existing skillsets
Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
Works well under pressure and deadlines
Must have critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
Preferred Requirements
Understanding of the bidding process and reading/interpreting specifications and drawings is a plus
OSHA certification
Experience working with union representatives
