About the Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef - Japanese cuisine to join our culinary team in Jumeirah Olhahali Island.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
To ensure that guest expectations are exceeded by providing an efficient, friendly and attentive service.
Actively participates in an oversees the provision of excelled service to the guests.
Converse with guests, whenever possible and appropriate to obtain feedback for improvements.
Conduct frequent spot checks in assigned section to monitor compliance with established procedures, hygiene, storage and par stocks.
Monitor the preparation of food for special orders, buffets, VIP requests and other functions as required.
Maintain all recipes, costing and SOP's including pictures and production instructions for all sections managed.
Ensure the operations of the kitchen equipment's are maintained to a good standard with minimum breakages.
Maintain great communication with superiors about all aspects of assigned section, including equipment, working environment, host issues, guest requests and team relations.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience within the same role and position in a luxury resort or high-end restaurant.
Hands-on experience in guiding and developing junior colleagues through training and development.
Ability to resolve guest complaints or issues in a calm and professional manner.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, hygiene practices, and workflow
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to delivering a high level of service
