The WelbeHealth Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating all the transportation services provided to participants and potential enrollees and oversee vehicle safety. The Transportation Dispatcher collaborates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to promote the WelbeHealth Values, team culture, and mission.
This role is different because Dispatchers at WelbeHealth:
- Act as the connection point — dispatchers keep drivers, participants, and clinic teams aligned through accurate documentation, real-time updates, and timely communication
- Turn moving parts into a smooth day — balancing add-ons, cancellations, no-shows, and last-minute changes without losing sight of the participant experience
- Support a dependable care experience — coordinating rides in a way that helps participants feel expected, respected, and connected to care

On the day-to-day, you will:
- Create and manage daily transportation schedules; adjust schedules to accommodate cancellations, add-ons, and last-minute requests
- Perform active dispatching to support daily transportation operations
- Maintain a daily call log for operational tracking and communication
- Provide weekend dispatch coverage as needed
- Monitor and respond to HUB inquiries and operational requests
- Update schedules based on Direct Line changes and updates
- Provide timely documentation in the Medical Record for participants that cancel or are considered no shows, in addition communicate any missed appointments or cancelations with the clinic team
Job requirements include:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency, professional experience may be substituted
- Minimum of four years’ experience working in a public/private transportation setting
- Minimum of two years' experience working in the dispatcher setting within your market area
- Copy of most recent Vehicle Insurance required
- Applicants must hold a valid driver's license and meet company driving qualifications, including eligibility under our commercial auto insurance program. Applicants must generally be at least 25 years old; candidates ages 23–24 may be considered based on driving history and other underwriting criteria. Applicants over age 70 may be required to provide current medical certification
- Participate in the DMV pull notice and random testing for alcohol and controlled substances programs, pass DOJ/FBI background check, and pass DOT physical exam
