HIM Release of Information Technician

Position Summary
• Responsible for releasing protected health information from patients' external agencies/business (attorneys, insurance companies, etc.) and internal and external healthcare providers.

Education
• Associate’s degree or

• high school diploma or equivalent and applicable experience

Licenses and Certification
• N/A

Experience and Skills
• Technical Experience: High school diploma or equivalent - three years experience in clinical or technical office support in healthcare environment required
 

Role Specific Responsibilities
• Reviews validity of requests.
• Forwards all subpoena and court orders to Manager/Supervisor.
• Identifies and copies information requested.
• Logs all requests into ChartMaxx Release of Information Module.

Compensation (Commensurate with experience):

$17.23 - $25.85
