The ideal candidate brings deep experience in heavy equipment, construction, manufacturing, or a similar operating model, with a proven track record of strengthening and transforming accounting functions through people leadership, process improvement, and technology enablement. Serving as a trusted partner to executive and operational leadership, the Corporate Controller delivers clear, decision‑ready financial insight with confidence and credibility in senior-level forums. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong ownership and accountability, proactively identify risks and opportunities while drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business. The candidate will lead disciplined, timely execution of financial processes and reporting while building scalable systems and a high-performing team that translates strategy into results.
- Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, and cost accounting.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
- Leverage data, automation, and standardized workflows to modernize close and reporting processes.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with GAAP.
- Lead ERP optimization and accounting process improvement initiatives.
- Direct the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and impairments.
- Manage external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
- Partner with operations and executive leadership to provide actionable financial insights.
- Partner cross‑functionally to elevate financial literacy across the organization.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required; MBA or Master’s degree a plus.
- Experience: 15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including senior leadership roles. Demonstrated experience leading full-cycle close, audits, and complex accounting operations. Proven track record of driving process improvement and system enhancements.
