Program Specialist IV
Salary range B20: $4,263.16-$6,779.25/month

WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Program Specialist IV performs highly complex (senior-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. This position reports to the Office of the Commissioner Representing the Public. This role involves planning, developing, and implementing major agency programs and providing expert guidance to program staff, government agencies, community organizations, and the public. You will work under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
- Perform a wide array of technical, training, research, planning, writing, and administrative activities for assigned programs within the Office of Commissioner Representing the Public.
- Coordinate and collaborate with program staff in program planning, development, implementation, analysis, and communication.
- Market programs to community and professional groups to encourage interest and secure support.
- Analyze legislation to develop recommendations for policy and program improvements.
- Conduct surveys, inspections, or reviews to determine compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Assist in developing program policies, procedures, standards, and manuals to meet objectives and goals within the Commissioner’s office.
- Draft and coordinate internal and external communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

YOU QUALIFY WITH:
- Two years of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency.
OR
- Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.

- Strong skills in identifying program performance indicators and operating applicable software.

- Demonstrated ability to develop, evaluate, and interpret policies and procedures.
- Experience in a public-facing government office, particularly one involved with public policy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
