The company has two core businesses, The Machine Clothing segment is the world’s leading producer of custom-designed fabrics and belts essential to production in the paper, nonwovens, and other process industries and Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is a rapidly growing supplier of highly engineered composite parts for the aerospace industry.
Job Purpose
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Communications Intern to support our efforts in crafting compelling messages and engaging content for our internal and external audiences. The Communications team works cross-functionally, providing an opportunity to interact with colleagues across various business units and functions at Albany.
Responsibilities
Content Creation and Management:
- Assist in writing and editing engaging content for our intranet, e-Boards, emails, press releases, and social media platforms.
- Support the creation of visual assets, such as graphics, photos, or videos.
- Research and develop content ideas aligned with the company’s mission and goals.
Social Media Management:
- Help manage and monitor social media channels, including drafting and scheduling posts.
Analyze engagement metrics to provide insights and suggestions for improving social media strategies. - Respond to comments and messages on social platforms in a professional and timely manner, when required.
Internal Communications:
- Contribute to internal announcements, support communication for Human Resources initiatives, and employee engagement campaigns.
- Support the creation and distribution of communication materials for internal events and initiatives.
- Help coordinate communication, planning, and logistics for occasional employee events.
Administrative Tasks:
- Organize and maintain digital files, including communication materials and media assets.
- Support team members with scheduling, meeting preparation, and other tasks as needed.
