Title: Epoxy Sales Account Manager
Location: Remote - USA. Preferred location is Houston, TX.
Salary: $135,000 - $170,000
Focus: The Epoxy Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing a specific portfolio of existing and prospective accounts. In this role you will cultivate relationships and identify opportunities to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate is a specialty chemicals sales professional with product and market knowledge who focuses on Value-Based Selling.
Epoxy Sales Account Manager Essential Functions:
- Creates and maintains proper relationships with customers and internal Olin functional groups, achieving an understanding of expressed and implied needs.
- Builds network in commercial, technical, and operations functions of customer organizations to present Olin’s value proposition.
- Understands customer’s technical and commercial needs and translates them into opportunities for Olin.
- Navigates and builds connections at various levels with large accounts both at a corporate and site level.
- In partnership with Technical & Innovation (T&I) team, leads technical projects with key customers.
- Builds a robust opportunity pipeline through New Business Development activities at assigned accounts.
- Resolves internal and external customer issues and/or concerns, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates a value-based selling approach.
- Negotiates and administers supply agreements/contracts.
- Uses CRM and other tools to communicate knowledge of assigned customers, the markets within which they participate, the associated supply chains and the overarching competitive landscape, recommending profitability strategies.
- Demonstrates continuous active engagement through contribution of creative ideas.
Epoxy Sales Account Manager Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree* in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Chemistry, or closely related degree; Chemical, Material, Electrical, or Civil Engineering degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales or commercial related experience in the chemical industry; experience with aerospace, composites, and/or electronic applications preferred. Experience with epoxy formulated solutions preferred.
Strong technical acumen with the ability to translate customer needs into solutions.
Previous negotiation experience.
Self-starter that is adaptive to change; ability to navigate complex organizations and overcome unexpected challenges.
Good time management skills with a strong bias for action and ability to independently plan and complete work.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal effectiveness.
CRM experience required; Salesforce experience preferred.
Ability to travel 40-50% of time, usually overnight - travel level varies with assigned accounts. Travel by plane frequently required.
Must possess a valid US Driver's license.
Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
