Job Summary
The Plating Line Leader is responsible for supporting daily operations within the Plating department by ensuring production, quality, safety, and environmental standards are met. This position serves as a subject matter expert for plating processes, chemical management, wastewater treatment requirements, and employee training while providing leadership and support to team members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily plating department operations
- Train and assist associates on departmental procedures and work instructions
- Perform chemical additions and maintain plating bath specifications
- Monitor and maintain proper pH levels and process controls
- Operate and support wastewater treatment processes
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and disposal of waste materials
- Complete required production quality and assist in troubleshooting process issues
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and departmental goals
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or plating process experience
- Chemical handling experience
- Wastewater treatment experience
- Prior leadership or training experience
- Knowledge of quality systems and process controls

Communication Skills
Must be able to communicate effectively with associates, supervisors, engineering, quality, and management to ensure production, quality, safety and environmental requirements are met.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequently bend, stoop, reach and perform repetitive motions
- Lift, carry, push and pull materials weighing up to 55 pounds
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves, aprons, face shields, and safety glasses
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, varying temperatures, noise, and humidity
- Ability to distinguish colors and read gauges, meters, labels, and process documentation
- Ability to safely perform duties around moving equipment, tanks, and wastewater treatment systems
