Job Description for Associate Engineer Mechanical (T08)
Brief Job Description:
To work in Global Environment for Design Engineering and Manufacturing Support Activities. To provide remote and operational support to Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering activities, primarily focused on Work Instructions (WI) preparation and maintenance using ERP data and 3D models. To Work on projects/assignments (short or long term) such as on NPD / Sustaining Projects, Bills of Materials, Work Instructions, CAD Modelling & its detailing (using Solid Edge & Creo Tools) & Change Orders. Work on design and developments of part/assembly & Provide design packages including 3D models, assemblies, drawings, Work Instructions and BOM structures. The role also supports standardization, documentation quality, and backlog reduction activities across manufacturing operations while ensuring alignment with production requirements and engineering standards
- Responsibilities:
- Respects the principles of environmental protection
- Create, update, and maintain Work Instructions using ERP data and 3D models
- Ensure alignment of WI with drawings, BOMs, routing, and 3D assemblies
- Support Manufacturing Engineering teams with documentation standardization activities
- Use ERP system (Oracle) for data extraction and updates
- Use 3D models (Creo/Solid Edge) for visualization and instruction creation
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation and visual work aids
- Support backlog reduction activities related to Work Instructions
- Create visual shopfloor documentation, including screenshots and assembly references
- Ensure proper version control and document traceability
- Support implementation of engineering changes into manufacturing documentation
- Collect, organize, and structure production-related data
- Support audit readiness through proper documentation maintenance
- Cooperate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality teams
- Work in accordance with LEAN principles and 5S methodology (VOS)
- Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to manufacturing environment, shared services environment, or equivalent administrative/technical support role.
2. 1-2 years of experience on Creo & Solid Edge platforms.
Technical/practical skills:
- Basic 3D model navigation (Creo/Solid Edge) with Oracle ERP (optional) & MS Office tools
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes & Ability to read basic technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work in a structured and process-oriented environment
- Ability to support multiple priorities and standardized activities remotely
