Surgical Technologist (Surg/Scrub Tech) - Per Diem

We consistently run a full schedule with a wide range of complex surgical procedures, from total joint replacements, spine to advanced ENT cases. Position Summary The Surgical Technologist provides hands-on technical support to surgeons and the OR team before, during, and after procedures. This role requires strong anticipation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high‑expectation, high‑accountability environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities The key duties and responsibilities of the Surgical Technologist include, but are not limited to: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff in a busy, fast-moving ASC Maintain a friendly, professional, and positive attitude Prepare, handle, and manage instruments, equipment, and supplies Anticipate surgeon needs during complex orthopedic and ENT cases Maintain the sterile field at all times Ensure equipment is available, functional, and ready for use Assist with supply counts, inventory, and cost-effective usage Complete required continuing education Participate in department committees and improvement initiatives Identify and report safety concerns to protect patients and staff Education/Experience Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program Certified Surgical Technologist preferred Current State licensure and CPR Minimum 2 years of prior surgical experience preferred Orthopedic experience required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Problem solving skills Skill in using a computer Knowledge of applicable specialties Ability to remove oneself personally from given situations, remaining objective Ability to exhibit cooperation, flexibility, and provide assistance when interfacing with patients, physician and staff Ability to multi-task Skill in organizing and reporting information that is accurate and complete Understanding of the need for and evidence of consistent respect for confidentiality/HIPAA Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all staff Ability to communicate clearly Consistency and timeliness in attendance Work Environment/Physical Demands The work environment/physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a teammate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable differently abled persons to perform the essential functions.
