To support the Azelis’ growth strategy we have a unique opportunity for dynamic GL Accountant to join our Finance Shared Service Center team, based in Zagreb, Croatia. Being members of a truly multinational Group, you will have the opportunity to support the financial processes of different entities , dealing with colleagues from other countries.

We are looking for hands-on team player, strong communicators who love to set up and continuously optimize working processes and procedures while working in a dynamic environment. The role suits candidates who have over 5 years of experience in accounting.

As one of our GL SSC Accountants, you will:

  • Record journal entries on a timely basis and in accordance with our accounting guidelines

  • Record the necessary accruals and interests on IC loans

  • Perform vendor/customer balance reconciliations

  • Perform bank account postings and reconciliations for our European subsidiaries.

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts

  • Ensure all business policies and processors are followed in order to comply with internal controls, segregation of duties, delegation of authority.

  • Assist in the intercompany recharging process

  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts

  • Assist in audit process.

  • Assist in any ad hoc project or process request.

Who you are:

  • Degree in accounting, or related field or equivalent through experience

  • over 5 years of experience in a similar position

  • Fluent in English and Croatian

  • Extensive experience with Excel is a must.

  • Microsoft Dynamics experience or ERP is considered a plus.

  • Experience within a multinational environment is a plus.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Focus on continuous improvements.

  • Analytical skills, accuracy and attention to details.

  • Delivery of qualitative and reliable output.

  • Hands–on mentality with flexibility regarding job duties and scope of work.

  • Independent, enthusiastic, quick learner.

  • Team players who maintain productive working relationships
