Machine Operator II (2nd Shift)

Precision Custom Components (PCC) is seeking a talented Machine Operator I (2nd Shift) to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in York, PA.

This position is part of our collective bargaining unit (union). The current wage is $32.87 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 11:55 PM).

As a Machine Operator I, you will help produce critical components for commercial nuclear, defense, energy, aerospace, and industrial applications while supporting safe, accurate, and efficient manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties of the Machine Operator I:

• Operate CNC and manual machine tools under established procedures and work instructions.
• Load and unload materials, tooling, and workpieces as required to support production activities.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced in accordance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify part dimensions.
• Perform routine machine adjustments, tool changes, and preventative maintenance activities as directed.
• Identify and report equipment, tooling, quality, or safety concerns to supervision.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work area while following company procedures and applicable shop standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist higher-level machinists and operators as needed.

Education/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience heavily preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges preferred.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and basic mathematical aptitude.
• U.S. citizenship is required at time of hire.
