Associate Director of Operations, Colorado

Our services include climate-controlled storage, private viewing galleries, local transportation, international shipping, installation, packing, archival photography, digital inventory management, and more.
UOVO seeks an Associate Director of Operations to join its dynamic and growing team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role would oversee all technical staff in Colorado ensuring the highest level of care and client service as pertains to the handling, storage, and transportation of fine art, fashion, and other collectibles. The ideal candidate will lead, manage, and mentor the Colorado Operations team while regularly coordinating with key stakeholders within the organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage a team of UOVO professionals in both the Denver and Aspen facilities to ensure the highest level of client service.
- Support and reinforce Manager and Supervisor leadership across the Colorado teams to ensure full operational coverage between facilities when balancing service needs.
- Efficiently coordinate and schedule all transport operations in collaboration with Denver’s Technical Services Supervisor and Aspen’s Warehouse Manager. This includes deliveries, collections, offsite installations and de-installations, large-scale packing projects, and art fairs, with a consistent focus on safeguarding property and delivering a positive client experience.
- Provide technical support for large service jobs and projects throughout the Colorado region, including off-site presence if required.
- Support the efficient scheduling and coordination of all internal Denver and Aspen operations, encompassing inventory control, internal warehousing tasks, and crate construction.
- Serve as a key liaison with Account Management and Business Development, partnering to deliver best-in-class service to all new and existing UOVO clients.
- Direct and oversee the allocation of art handling staff across Colorado, aligning resources with internal labor demands and onsite client requests.
- In conjunction with the Operations Compliance team, support the TSA Certified Cargo Screening Program adherence and training.
- Oversee storage operations at the Denver and Aspen facilities, ensuring safe handling and compliance with racking standards, forklift training, OSHA regulations, and inventory controls.
- Drive performance against budgetary targets related to both revenue and expenses.
- Lead regional supply and equipment procurement efforts, ensuring timely processing of all related accounts payable.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members to the Operations team when required, working to ensure all applicable training is provided.
- In conjunction with other key stakeholders, establish goals and objectives in line with UOVO's Performance Management program, providing semi-annual feedback and completing annual performance reviews for all direct reports and subsequent team members.
- Create a positive and engaging work environment by mentoring, coaching, and motivating direct reports and their team members.
- Partner with the Denver and Aspen Facilities teams to support ongoing facility maintenance and operational needs.
- Lead or support special projects as assigned by the Manager that enhance warehouse efficiency, including designing and outfitting new facilities, training teams, and reorganizing existing properties.
- This role requires regular travel between the UOVO:Denver and UOVO:Aspen locations.

- Occasional need to lift, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, ability to pull/push 150 pounds on a dolly or a cart or 50 lbs unaided
- 7 + years in warehousing, project management, and/or logistics (art logistics preferred but not required)
