Leidos is seeking an accomplished Senior Program Scheduler to provide strategic scheduling leadership within our Defense Systems Sector.
In this dynamic role, you will serve as the lead scheduling authority for multiple Defense Sector programs, entrusted by program leadership to develop and manage the Integrated Master Schedule, drive effective scheduling solutions, and maintain alignment among technical execution, resources, risks, and overall program objectives. This role is ideal for a scheduling professional who excels in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and wants to apply their expertise to programs that support our national defense.
The Senior Lead Program Scheduler will be an integral part of the larger enterprise-wide Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE). The Leidos Corporate EVM COE is a team-leading and executing the core responsibilities of scheduling, planning, EVMS, the associated infrastructure and tools, implementations, training, and surveillance for Leidos.
Key Responsibilities.
Serve as the primary scheduling leader, shaping program strategies through programmatic scheduling best practices.
Partner with program managers, IPT Leads, and technical staff to influence decision-making and optimizing program performance.
Work Independently with minimal daily oversight.
Build and maintain complex Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) compliant with EIA-748 standards and industry best practices (PASEG, NDIA).
Lead the Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA) to quantify risk exposure and create actionable mitigation strategies.
Present schedule insights, risks, and “what-if” scenarios to senior program and customer stakeholders, often shaping contract execution strategies.
Implement program scheduling business rhythms & controls.
Develop scheduling artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements.
Significant interface with program leadership
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- Recognized expertise in programmatic scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, with proven success leading schedule management on large, complex programs.
- Advanced mastery of Microsoft Project and scheduling analytics.
Intermediate to advanced expertise using Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) Tools for Microsoft Project
U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Strong command of advanced scheduling practices, including:
Schedule status processes
Resource Loaded Networks
Cost and schedule integration
14-Point Analysis and schedule health assessments
Critical Path Method (CPM) and float management
Schedule execution metrics (BEI, CEI, CPLI, SV, SPI, etc.)
Schedule risk modeling and Monte Carlo simulations
Baseline change control governance
Preferred Qualifications.
Experience in Aerospace / Defense Industry
PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification
Scheduling Professional (SP) certification
Proficiency in MS Project macros and custom reporting
Active DoD Secret clearance

Pay Range:
Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
