Environmental Manager

Location: Hatfield, PA | Onsite

 

The Environmental Manager is responsible for leading environmental compliance and performance across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role ensures all regulatory requirements are met while driving continuous improvement in environmental systems, infrastructure, and operational efficiency.

 

You will serve as the regional environmental subject matter expert, partnering closely with plant leadership, engineering, and regulatory agencies to protect the environment, maintain compliance, and support business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental compliance programs across multiple facilities
  • Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies (EPA, DEP, local authorities)
  • Oversee wastewater treatment systems, air permitting, and waste management programs
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local environmental regulations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, efficiency, and sustainability
  • Lead environmental capital projects supporting infrastructure and growth
  • Mentor and support environmental specialists and site teams
  • Manage inspections, audits, reporting, and enforcement resolution

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
  • 5–7+ years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Hands-on experience with wastewater treatment systems and permitting
  • Direct experience managing air permitting and compliance programs
  • Strong knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations
  • Proven ability to manage complex environmental programs across multiple sites
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority

  • Reduce and effectively resolve Notices of Violation (NOVs)
  • Improve performance and efficiency of wastewater and air compliance systems
  • Lead and execute capital projects addressing infrastructure and growth needs
  • Build capability and consistency across environmental specialists and site teams
  • Establish sustainable processes that support long-term operational success

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 30% travel between facilities (PA and MI)
