About The Role

Summary

The IT Asset Operations & Process Documentation Specialist supports the daily operations of IT Asset Management (ITAM), including PC staging and imaging, inventory handling, shipping and receiving, and maintaining process documentation

This role is ideal for someone starting their IT career who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn IT operations and asset lifecycle management

 

This is a Corporate position that is located in Missoula, MT. The entry-rate for this position is $18.91 + /hour (calculated for Missoula, MT). Click here to learn more about our bank divisions.

 

All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the lifecycle management of IT assets (setup, deployment, tracking, and retirement).
  • Perform PC staging and imaging, including basic configuration, software installs, and system checks.
  • Accurately update asset records in inventory or asset management systems.
  • Support routine asset audits and inventory counts.
  • Handle shipping and receiving of IT equipment (laptops, monitors, peripherals).
  • Inspect incoming shipments and verify accuracy against packing lists.
  • Tag, label, and store assets according to process guidelines.
  • Package and ship equipment to users or other locations following established procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining departmental document control for IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes.
  • Update standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and instructions as directed.
  • Ensure documentation is organized, version-controlled, and easy to access.
  • Identify and report opportunities for improving documentation clarity and workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT teams (Service Desk, Procurement, etc.) to support onboarding and equipment requests.
  • Follow established processes to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
  • Provide basic reporting support (inventory lists, asset counts, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean, organized staging and storage area.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

    Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

Required Skills and Abilities

·         Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred.

·         Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems.

·         Exposure to or willingness to learn PC staging and imaging tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM).

·         Understanding or interest in shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking.

·         Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·         Ability to follow documented processes and instructions.

·         Basic computer skills (Excel, ticketing systems, or similar tools).

 

Additional Requirements

Travel

Up to 10% travel required: (e.g. 2 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities

Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.

Working Conditions

Environment:  Indoors, a climate-controlled shared work area.

Noise Level:  Minimal noise.

Lifting:  Light work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects

If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work

The employee is constantly required to stand and walk.
