What we are looking for:
The Fiera Comox Finance team is seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Performance & Analytics to help drive the quality, governance, and strategic use of data across the organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of critical financial, operational, and performance data used to support reporting, valuation, forecasting, investor communications, and decision-making. You will play a key role in strengthening data governance practices, enhancing data processes and controls, and improving the overall reliability of the firm's information ecosystem.
Reporting to the Vice President, Valuation & Performance, you will partner closely with teams across Finance, FP&A, Investor Relations, Valuation & Performance, and Investments to deliver high-quality data, actionable insights, and scalable solutions. You will also contribute to the adoption of advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools that enhance data validation, streamline workflows, and support more informed business decisions.

Your responsibilities:
As part of your responsibilities, you will be assigned the following duties:
- Lead the preparation and validation of data used in financial reporting, forecasting and performance analysis
- Own and manage key datasets across the organization, ensuring accuracy, completeness and consistency
- Design and implement data validation controls and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity
- Support the development and maintenance of data governance frameworks, documentation and best practices
- Collaborate with Finance, Valuation & Performance, FP&A, Investor Relations and Investment teams to support data needs and reporting requirements
- Maintain and enhance data structures within internal systems, including TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics)
- Work closely with the Investor Relations team to provide accurate financial and performance data in support of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from prospective investors, as well as to respond to ongoing investor inquiries related to finance and performance
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate data collection, transformation and reporting processes
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics tools to improve data quality, perform anomaly detection and enhance efficiency of workflows
- Support the exploration and implementation of AI-driven solutions to generate insights and improve decision-making processes
- Assist in reconciling data across multiple systems and resolving discrepancies
- Support internal and external audit processes by ensuring data traceability and proper documentation
- Produce ad-hoc analyses and support various data-related projects across the organization
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- CPA, CFA, or relevant analytics/data certification considered an asset
- 3-5+ years of experience in data analytics, finance, performance reporting, or a related field
- Experience working with financial data; asset management, private markets, or investment industry experience is an asset
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data manipulation capabilities
- Experience with TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics is a strong asset
- Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar analytical tools is considered an asset
- Exposure to automation, AI tools, or advanced analytics techniques is considered an asset
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data quality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to translate business challenges into practical, data-driven solutions
