What You’ll Do
The Dedicated Account Representative (DAR) is a strategic client-facing role within American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT). DARs serve as trusted advisors and dedicated partners to our most valued clients, providing white-glove service, strategic guidance, and comprehensive travel program management to drive client success and business growth.
Serve as the point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned strategic accounts
Develop deep understanding of client business objectives, travel patterns, and organizational structure
Build and nurture long-term strategic relationships decision-makers
Support with conduct quarterly business reviews with comprehensive performance analysis and insights
Develop and execute customized account growth strategies aligned with client business goals
Identify and capitalize on upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities
Present data-driven recommendations for travel program optimization and cost savings
Contribute to revenue targets while maximizing client ROI and satisfaction
Oversee end-to-end travel program administration and policy management
Analyze travel data and spending patterns to identify trends and opportunities
Recommend and implement program enhancements, policy updates, and best practices
Ensure compliance with client contracts, SLAs, and regulatory requirements and provide proactive, high-touch support and rapid issue resolution
Coordinate cross-functionally with operations, finance, technology, and specialty services
Monitor and exceed service level agreements and client satisfaction metrics
Serve as escalation point for complex client needs and concerns and handle additional assigned duties as needed
Stay current on travel industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape
Share insights and recommendations with clients on travel management best practices
Represent Amex GBT as a trusted advisor and industry expert
What We're Looking For
Graduate with 5+ years of experience in account management, travel management, or related client-facing role
Proven track record of managing strategic/enterprise-level accounts and excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with travel management systems, CRM platforms, and business intelligence tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Proficient in Microsoft products; experience with travel management systems; preferred experience with Concur, or similar travel/expense management platforms
Strong dedication to quality, client satisfaction, and resolving issues to high standards; preferred experience in account management or client-facing roles
Experience with corporate travel management or business travel consulting
Familiarity with Amex GBT systems, platforms, and service offerings
Demonstrated success in account growth and client retention
Experience with travel program transformation or implementation
Knowledge of travel industry trends and market dynamics
Bilingual or multilingual capabilities
