
Solution Architect
Job Description
We are looking for a Solution Architect to join Sopra Steria Apps Services team on an international Program for a leader in the aerospace sector.
Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and have EU citizenship.
Responsibilities:
• Design, coherence, and security of IT solutions implemented within transformation projects.
• Acts as a subject-matter expert, ensuring alignment between business needs, functional and technical constraints, architecture standards, and the overall IT strategy.
• Design the functional and technical architecture of solutions.
• Define architecture building blocks, patterns, and integration principles within the IT ecosystem.
• Ensure compliance with architecture, security, and infrastructure standards, as well as data and performance requirements.
• Formalize recommendations, support decision-making with the client, and document architectural decisions.
• Prepare, structure, and facilitate functional and technical workshops.
• Coordinate interactions between business teams, IT, security, infrastructure, and project teams.
• Ensure the global consistency of the architecture across all contributors (domains, experts, development teams).
• Master and apply project processes, particularly during architecture phases.
• Participate in or lead application audits (obsolescence, security, reliability).
• Integrate data classification and cybersecurity standards into all architectural decisions.
• Produce architecture deliverables.
• Monitor and regularly update architecture risks, assumptions, and decisions.
• Contribute to architecture governance: committees, reviews, steering committees.

Must have requirements:
• 10 to 15 years of experience, especially in complex IT transformation projects.
• Strong background in end-to-end architecture design (functional / technical).
• Regular practice in writing architecture documentation and facilitating workshops.
• Collaboration with security, infrastructure, business, data, and development teams.
• Participation in technical or performance audits.
• Application and technical architecture (multi-system, integration, patterns, APIs).
• Cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP): fundamentals + enterprise integration.
• Strong knowledge of IT/OT security standards, IAM, compliance, and data classification.
• Understanding of data architecture practices (data flows, data modeling, data quality).
• Architecture modelling (Archimate).
• Natural leadership and advisory posture.
• Excellent communication and ability to simplify complex topics.
• Analytical thinking, synthesis skills, and problem-solving mindset.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
• Architecture best practices (TOGAF).
• EU citizenship.
• Fluent English: B2/C1.
• Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice.
Nice to have requirements:
• Certifications appreciated: TOGAF / SAFe / Archimate, Cloud Architect (Azure/AWS/GCP), ITIL.
• French language skills (any level)

The recruitment process for this position consists of two stages:
• a short phone call with a recruiter (30 min max)
• one-hour long interview on Teams (with both general and technical questions)
Salary range:
UOP: 18 000 -22 000 PLN gross/month.
B2B: 135-180/190 PLN/h net.
