Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Pharmacy required. Incumbents hired on or before 5/10/2018 will be grandfathered into role with an Associate’s Degree or higher
- Completion of basic course in Infection Control recognized by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control (APIC) or obtain within two years of hire required
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, or field of specialty preferred
Experience
- 2 years in related experience required
- Experience in Infection Prevention, Healthcare Education, Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases, Employee Health, or Public Health preferred
- CBIC-CIC - Certified Infection Control required within 3 years of hire or transfer into position
- Incumbents in role before 5/11/2018 have three (3) years to obtain the CIC certification
- RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
- RPH - Registered Pharmacist with valid State of California Pharmacist License
