We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to support business growth across Eastern Europe and Africa, focusing on industrial engineering, project management and consulting services by generating leads, strengthening client relationships, and supporting tendering and market positioning initiatives.
Job Description
• Identify, research, and qualify new prospects across target industrial markets in Eastern Europe and Africa.
• Build and maintain the sales pipeline using CRM tools, tracking progress and forecasting opportunities.
• Provide reporting on sales funnel metrics and recommend strategies for penetrating regional and international markets.
• Lead and coordinate full-cycle tender preparation and submissions, ensuring compliance with requirements and deadlines.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities in engineering and project delivery within the assigned regions.
• Monitor competitor strategies to inform bid positioning and value propositions.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships across Eastern European and African markets.
• Act as the key point of contact for pre-sales engagement and post-proposal follow-up.
• Draft and maintain commercial content including capability statements, case studies, and presentations.
• Collaborate with internal experts to create thought leadership and project success materials.
• Support digital marketing campaigns to generate awareness and leads in target regions.
• Work closely with technical delivery, commercial, procurement, and regional leadership teams to align market strategy and coordinate pricing and contract terms.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum three years of related experience with strong tender administration focus.
• Strong project management and organizational skills in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Fluency in Hungarian is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with Salesforce and SAP is an advantage.
• Availability for local and occasional international travel.
• Flexibility to meet client deadlines outside normal office hours.
• Ability to facilitate decision-making in ambiguous situations.
