At Atlantic Pipe Services, we keep Florida’s underground infrastructure flowing. Our Vactor Truck Operators are the front line — running the equipment, solving problems on site, and making sure communities stay safe and clean.
If you’ve got a CDL, you’re good with equipment, and you take pride in doing the job right, we want to talk.
What you’ll do
You’ll operate vacuum and high-pressure jetting trucks to clean and maintain sewer and storm drainage systems. No two days are the same, but your core work includes:
- Running Vactor/vacuum trucks and jetting equipment safely and efficiently
- Cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining sewer and storm drains
- Reading utility plans to locate underground lines
- Coordinating with clients, supervisors, and your crew to get the job done
- Training and leading helpers on safety and equipment operation
- Completing daily logs and inspections on a tablet — we’ll train you
- Inspecting and maintaining your truck, hoses, nozzles, and tools so you’re always ready
You’ll be outdoors, hands-on, and part of a crew that counts on each other.
What you bring
- Valid Class A or B CDL with current DOT Medical Card and clean driving record
- 2+ years working with sewer, storm drainage, utilities, or similar field work
- Experience with Vactor trucks, vacuum trucks, or hydro-jetting equipment is a huge plus
- Mechanically inclined — you know your way around equipment
- Comfortable using a tablet for daily reporting
- Able to work 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM with occasional nights/weekends and some out-of-town work
- Can lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather, including confined spaces when needed
- Strong safety mindset and solid communication skills
High school diploma or GED required.
