he Lead Material Coordinator supports material flow, dock operations, warehouse coordination, transportation, and launch execution for the assigned area. This role serves as a key liaison across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and third-party logistics partners to help ensure material readiness, operational continuity, and issue resolution. The successful candidate will use strong plant knowledge, sound judgment, and cross-functional collaboration to drive execution and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
Lead daily material coordination activities for the assigned area, including dock operations, material flow, and launch support
Supervise dock operations and provide leadership for represented material handling employees
Serve as the material and GSO lead for the area, partnering with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure material requirements are met
Act as the primary liaison for third-party warehouse and transportation issues, including expedites and international shipments
Manage assigned budgets, SAP invoice processing, and contract-related administrative support
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across LMS, containerization, and short-lead-time processes
Support launch execution, issue resolution, and change management for tooling, material, and internal process control
Additional Responsibilities
Support coordination of daily activity with the offsite GXO warehouse
Help define roles, responsibilities, and process improvements for warehouse operations
Support scrap reduction and container/dunnage return projects
Perform Dangerous Goods SME backup responsibilities for the PEC site
Manage material move tools and systems, including tablet-based software and PPD processes
Contribute to lean material strategy planning and board reviews
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, materials, logistics, operations, or a related field
Experience in material coordination, warehouse operations, transportation, launch execution, or a related supply chain function
People leadership or team coordination experience in a manufacturing, plant, or warehouse environment
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and external partners
Strong written, verbal, and computer skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions independently
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
5+ years of GSC people leader experience
Experience supporting launch activities in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
Knowledge of G3PS, EMS, and SAP
Experience with contract management, third-party warehousing, and transportation processes
Dangerous Goods, material systems, or continuous improvement experience
