Environmental & Safety Technician-Aerofil

Position Summary: Responsible for the coordination, handling, proper and timely disposal of various waste streams within the plant. Essential Functions: Maintain the aerosol tote storage areas (inside and outside) in a clean and orderly manner. At the beginning and end of the shift: Collect the remote 90-day accumulated waste areas, satellite accumulation areas (SAA), Universal Waste and take it to the Central Accumulation Area (CAA) in Regulatory. Verify the labels on the container correctly and fill out completely and weigh the material prior to putting into storage row in CAA Required to oversee the proper storage, labeling, marking, sealing containers, and disposal of the plant’s waste streams, including hazardous, non-hazardous, and any other special waste streams.     - Deposit Drums                                                       - Scrap Drum Trailer                                                Maintain the CAA in Regulatory and the remote storage locations in a clean and orderly manner with proper aisle spacing between waste rows. Responsible for Storm Water Retention Pond duties and containment berms around storage tanks: - Monitor Pond Daily (for contamination) - Assist in pond samples as needed - Inspect storage tank berms for contamination and drain the areas. Continuously strive to organize and prioritize waste shipments by working with the EHS Manager Be able to load waste trucks quickly and efficiently with little assistance. Ability to perform time management to complete all the daily requirements safely and attention to detail. Daily refill, the rag ATMS and remove the contaminated rags and put them in the proper bin for pickup by vendor. If time permits, assist with cleaning up trash/debris from the back lot, parking lots and around trash compactor.
