Job Description

The J.D. Irving, Limited Custodial Team is responsible for cleaning tasks including but not limited to hard surface floor cleaning, carpeted area vacuuming, dusting, cleaning washrooms and kitchenettes, and the collection of garbage and recycling. The hours of this position are 5pm to midnight. The hourly range for the role is between $17/hr and $18.50/hr. 

 

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations as outlined by the Company.
  • Sweep/dry mop, and wash/buff floors and stairwells utilizing manual and power scrubbing equipment as applicable.
  • Vacuum carpets in offices and common areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo rugs when directed in assigned buildings.
  • Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport garbage/recycling to collection points
  • Ensure washrooms and kitchens/kitchenettes are fully cleaned including: clean/disinfect and polish fixtures and appliances, door handles, walls, mirrors, countertops, partitions, waste receptacles and floors.
  • Replenish supply of consumables such as: toilet paper, hand towels, soap, sanitizer, etc.
  • Spot clean walls, doors, kick plates, etc. removing marks and smudges from vertical surfaces.
  • Clean elevator(s) as applicable.
  • High dusting and wall washing.
  • Additional duties as required.
  • Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
  • Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
  • Experience with auto scrubbers an asset.
  • Dependable and have reliable transportation.
