Job Purpose
Responsible for leading and coordinating international procurement and logistics processes, ensuring the supply of materials, equipment, and services, as well as the movement of goods across global operations, in compliance with established deadlines, costs, quality standards, and legal requirements. Acts in the negotiation with global suppliers, management of import and export operations, coordination of international shipments, and as the interface between internal departments, logistics providers, and external partners, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance throughout the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end international purchasing processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with international suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, commercial terms, contracts, and logistics services.
- Issue and monitor international purchase orders.
- Coordinate and oversee import and export logistics operations.
- Track international shipments from origin to final delivery.
- Serve as the primary interface between suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure documentary and regulatory compliance for international trade operations.
- Monitor shipping schedules, international transit times, customs clearance activities, and final deliveries.
- Analyze and control costs related to procurement, international freight, warehousing, duties, taxes, and customs expenses.
- Collaborate with Planning, Finance, Tax, Foreign Trade, Logistics, and Customer Service teams.
- Prepare, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including OTD, OTIF, DIFOT, lead time, cost savings, logistics costs, and supplier performance.
- Support the resolution of issues related to delays, damages, documentation discrepancies, non-conformities, and customs procedures.
- Participate in cost reduction, continuous improvement, and supply chain optimization projects.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, corporate standards, and applicable international trade regulations.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
Experience
- Previous experience in international procurement, international logistics, supply chain, or foreign trade.
- Experience with import and export operations.
- Proven experience negotiating with international suppliers and logistics service providers.
- Knowledge of international transportation operations, including ocean, air, and road freight.
- Experience with customs procedures and international trade documentation.
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of Incoterms and basic import/export regulations.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
- Spanish language skills are considered an advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsiga/TOTVS or similar platforms).
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of procurement, logistics, and cost management KPIs.
- Understanding of material planning and supply chain management processes.

- Experience managing international suppliers and global logistics providers.
- Knowledge of special customs regimes and customs compliance processes.
- Experience with Power BI, process automation, and data analysis.
- Participation in cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and logistics operations.
Scope of Responsibility – Mid-Level Analyst (Pleno)
- Operates with moderate autonomy in managing international procurement and logistics activities.
- Leads negotiations and operations of medium complexity.
- Supports strategic Supply Chain projects.
- Identifies and proposes improvements to processes and operational controls.
- May provide guidance to junior professionals and support internal training activities.
- Acts as a technical reference on topics related to foreign trade, procurement, and international logistics.
